Program

Unifying eight business areas from an IT perspective.

Your business challenges will become your monthly assignments.

From the month you learn it, you implement it in your business for a year.

Four design principles that underpin this curriculum

The official name of this program is "MBA in Information Technology Management." The eight modules are not a collection of disparate knowledge; they are unified by the following four principles.

1. Integration of IT and Management

IT is not a separate subject; it's a core perspective that underlies all eight modules. Not only are IT-related areas like IT strategy and digital marketing addressed, but the areas of leadership, human resources, finance, and governance have also been redesigned to reflect an era where technology is rewriting the fundamental assumptions of business.

2. Direct connection to the business world – eliminating the time lag between learning and business management.

The subject matter of every assignment is the very business challenge you yourself are facing. Instead of abstract case studies, you'll re-examine your company's reality from a structural perspective using academic frameworks, test it in the field, and then bring it back for further verification. The learning you gain each month will directly reflect in the quality of your management decisions.

3. Responsive Curriculum

UITM guarantees and provides curriculum quality and academic standards according to European standards, and Shibuya Web3 University Co., Ltd. operates it in Japan. Because the operation is handled by an organization that has consistently been at the forefront of the social implementation of technology, it enables a responsive approach to address the management challenges of 2026 with a curriculum designed for 2026.

4. Symbiosis with Generative AI

We will utilize generative AI not as a "replacement," but as a "co-pilot" to accelerate learning. We will entrust the analysis of literature and the structuring of information to the AI, while you "formulate questions, select frameworks, and..."
We will concentrate all our resources on the uniquely human intellectual creativity of "applying it to our own company and making decisions."

Eight modules – Integrating all areas of management from an IT perspective.

Eight modules, one per month. Each module carries 20 credits (160 credits in total).
Each module is assessed through a 4,000-word assignment focused on a real, existing organisation.
There are no examinations. Assessment is 100% assignment-based.

  1. Strategic Human Resource Management
Regarding people not as a cost but as the organisation's greatest creative resource, participants realise organisational design and transformation.

  2. IT Strategy and Management
Treating IT not merely as a tool but as the "core of transformation", participants formulate and implement future-orientated IT strategies from an executive perspective.

  3. Strategic Financial Management
Rigorously evaluate the risks and returns of technology investment, optimising and determining capital strategies for future growth.

  4. Strategic Change Management
Integrate technological innovation with organisational culture to achieve sustained transformation on the ground.

  5. Technopreneurship and Innovation
Cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit rooted in information technology, creating new business models and value from uncharted territory.

  6. Globalisation and Corporate Governance
Examine the structure of the global economy and new models of governance for the Web3 era.

  7. Strategic Leadership
Establish leadership that balances ethics with effectiveness in the age of generative AI, driving transformation across the entire organisation.

  8. Digital & Social Media Marketing
Harness digital and social media to build channel strategies and brand experiences grounded in deep insight into customer behaviour.

Learn while working, in one year. Optimized learning system.

1. Monthly enrollment – Rolling admission
Enrollment is available every month. You can start with the same enthusiasm you have when you decide you want to learn. The eight modules cycle through continuously each month in this order, and no matter which month you start, you will complete the course once you have gone through all eight modules. We welcome each student with a supportive and in-depth instruction system.

2. Lecture Structure
Generally held on Saturdays. Hybrid format: online (Zoom) and in-person (Shibuya). 3 lessons of 4 hours each, from 13:00 to 17:15 (with a 15-minute break). Designed to be manageable while working.

3. Guidelines for learning load
Each module requires approximately 100 hours of study (about 12 hours of class + about 88 hours of self-study). We deepen world-class learning through independent self-study.

4. Language Design – Think thoroughly in Japanese, and finalize in English
The classes will be conducted in Japanese. This is to deepen understanding of core concepts and enhance the depth of discussion. However, eight assignments will be completed in English. Support for discussions in Japanese and assistance with completing the English assignments will be provided. A "Thesis Writing Workshop" will also be offered as a common course for those who wish to take it.

The three coordinates where SCX's MBA stands

On what scale did we design this past year? Not in terms of superiority or inferiority, but as a framework we chose ourselves, we present it using three axes.

1. Practical applicability (vertical axis) × Academic rigor (horizontal axis)
— SCX's MBA program offers both the responsiveness to implement what you learn in the same month, and the academic rigor backed by UITM. I chose this position because it doesn't compromise on either.

ポジショニングマップ①

2. Time efficiency (horizontal axis) × Return on investment (vertical axis)
-- SCX's MBA program is designed so that the most scarce resource is time. It is designed so that the quality of your management decisions improves while you are still employed, within one year of starting work.

ポジショニングマップ②

3. Global reliability (horizontal axis) × Optimization for the Japanese market (vertical axis)
-- SCX's MBA is in the upper right
We chose to combine world-class reliability backed by UITM's quality assurance with learning optimized for the realities of Japanese business management, all in Japanese.

ポジショニングマップ③

Participation requires a certain level of commitment.

SCX's MBA program is for leaders with advanced practical experience and a strong desire to create change.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must have a bachelor's degree or higher from a four-year university.
• At least 3 years of practical experience. Particularly experience in organizational transformation and management is preferred.

The essence of selection isn't about academic background or the number of entries in your work history. It's about your determination to "change something in your own business."

Foundation of international trust

The SCX MBA program is a program where UITM is responsible for quality assurance and curriculum provision. Shibuya Web3 University Co., Ltd. will operate it in Japan. Designed to a standard equivalent to Level 7 of the EQF (European Qualification Framework), all students who complete the entire curriculum will receive an official Executive Award (certification of completion) from the UITM President.

It's impossible to convey everything on the website.
How this program will fit your business challenges, and how you will change in a year—it will be different for each individual. That's why we should meet and talk first.
